When you look at Tanner you can't help but smile. He has such an infectious smile himself that it really is contagious. Tanner is such a happy, happy boy! He always has a smile on his face and a wiggle in his butt! Don't let his age fool you! He is a spry boy despite having been poorly cared for prior to coming to RESCUE. He LOVES to go on walks, putting his nose to work exploring all the latest neighborhood gossip! He also is an excellent traveling companion. He rides perfectly in the car no matter how far the ride. Tanner is such a little ambassador too. When he's out and about he wants to say hello anyone and everyone. We've not found anyone who can resist his charm. Of course Tanner is happy to have the attention lavished upon him. He loves be pet and snuggled. He will sprawl out on the floor allowing you at touch all parts of him while he smiles from ear to ear!
Tanner was in terrible shape when we rescued him. He had horrible teeth, bad knees, lumps and bumps, thyroid issues etc. Sadly all these issues could have easily been cared for much earlier in his life. Thankfully Tanner's amazing spirit has not been affected by any of these things. We've taken care of his health issues as best we could. He has limited vision in his left eye and will limp from time to time if he over does it on his walks but neither of these things prevent him from enjoying life to the fullest! As previously stated, Tanner is always smiling, he's just such a happy boy! It makes us love him even more.
