Scout's Story...
SCOUT is a 8-month old beagle / rat terrier mix who pledges to do his best to be a good dog, to obey and love his family at all times, and to do duty to do his doody only in appropriate places. He weighed 28 pounds at 6 months of age. He is HW negative and current on shots. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Scout if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will cover the cost of vetting and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a Union City Beagle/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Rat Terrier for sale in Union City, or seeking a Beagle/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Beagle/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
