My story

We do not ship our dogs! If you are interested in adopting a dog from us you first need to fill out an application at http://www.americanmalteserescue.org/application.html. Only applications near Vancouver, WA will be considered.

Max is a 4 yr old neutered male Maltese. If you are looking for an active, playful but loving family member, Max is the boy for you! Max is house trained, will sleep in a crate at night or on your bed if you prefer. He knows some commands and uses a doggy door. He is good with children, preferably over the age of 8, and would love to have his own boy or girl to play ball with.

Max is a larger Maltese weighing around 12 lbs. He is good with small dogs about his size, but feels threatened with dogs larger than him. He would really prefer being an only dog but will do okay with another small dog. He loves to sit on your lap and cuddle, going on walks and car rides. Max is a barker but his foster Mom is working with him and he is getting better and she will share with you what is working for her.
