Rhapsody's Story...
Rhapsody is such a sweet, mellow girl who is 12 years old. She is a love bug who will wrap her paws around your heart and make you love her! She loves walks but also loves to just hang out with you. She is used to using a doggy door for potty duties and is diligent about using it. Her personality is on the shy side at first. …except at feeding time when she will prance around on her back legs excitedly awaiting the arrival of a full bowl. She is from champion show lines but decided she’d rather be a cheerleader from the sidelines than actually in the shows. Her owner had to relinquish her to us due to moving to assisted living. Rhapsody is a delight!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rhapsody, a Portland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
