EVA LONGORIA's Story...
Eva Longoria is a charming combination of Basset Hound and Beagle but still a little thing at c. 35 lbs. She was found as a stray at a year old and is now in New England living with a cat, a parrot, and the family's dog in a loving foster home. Since arriving she has learned to sit and wait for her food and treats, lay down and stay. When she runs in the yard on her squat little legs with her long velvet ears flapping in the breeze, you cannot help but grin and be touched by her obvious glee at being alive. She's house trained, crate trained, smart as a whip and eager to please. She's not a big barker, still a bit of a chewer and in need of more practice walking on a leash. Eva loves everybody and is always ready for laps, hugs, kisses and companionship. We hope you'll love her too. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

EVA LONGORIA, a Salem Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Salem, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
