Rocky's Info...

Rocky's Story...
Rocky, a one year old neutered male, heart worm negative chihuahua is a cock of the walk kind of guy, a sturdy and handsomely proportioned big dog packed into a 7 pound body. Licorice button eyes all aglitter, he prances, dances and laughs. Totally engaging, Rocky supports his end of conversations with all sorts of vocalizations- snorts, harrumphs and yips; he will even yodel with unbridled glee at mealtime or at the sight of a new toy.
Rocky is entertaining and a great companion, a big slice of life optimist . He mixes easily with all other dogs, cats and people of all ages. Like most tiny pups, he is best suited to a home without very small children who may not understand the fragility of a small dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Baton Rouge Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
