Kiah's Story...
Kiah: 3 yr old black & tan female, to be spayed 11/6, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 11 lb. Fully vetted on 11/6. Rescued from shelter.
Kiah is a very sweet girl. She can be timid when meeting new people and tends to keep to herself at first. However, if picked up, she does not put up a fuss. Once she warms up to someone, Kiah is a loyal little lap dog. She finds comfort and safety in her crate and goes inside when nervous. Getting her out takes only a treat, and you will have her in your lap immediately. She loves cuddling but is not too sure of toys yet though has shown some interest. However, she does dance on her hind legs for food. She has gotten along with the other dogs in her foster home. Her foster mom is not sure if Kiah is house trained as her nerves still get the best of her when going outdoors, so she has to be carried since she does not seem to know commands yet and will not walk on a leash. These things will come in time as Kiah settles into the routine. If you feel Kiah sounds like the girl for you, fill out an application with her name on it.
Note: Kiah is located in Athens, GA - and we can ship this girl by pet transport or with human in commercial air.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kiah, a McDonough Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in McDonough, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in McDonough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McDonough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McDonough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McDonough paves the way for another one to be saved.
