Maggie's Story...
Oh Maggie has stolen my heart! Maggie is a gorgeous 3 year old, all black purebred German Shepherd female. She was thrown away at the pound because her previous owner's said she was 'dumb'. It almost got her euthanized there. We took her in and she has repaid us tenfold with the love and affection she has inside her! What a beautiful creature!

Maggie is spayed, current on all vaccines, and microchipped. She has been fecal and heart worm tested. She is maintained on Heartgard Plus heart worm prevention. She is crate trained and house broken. She is fine with other dogs, kids, and doesn't mind cats.

If you are interested in any of our dogs please go to www.howlatthemoonrescue.com and fill lout an application! Her adoption fee is $250

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Zanesville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Zanesville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Zanesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Zanesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Zanesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Zanesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
