My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Check me out. I'm a very athletic dog that is primarily a German Shepherd with maybe some husky mixed it.


Heidi is ready for a forever home, and will do anything for her owner and handler. She is only about 1 year old, and therefore perfect for a long life of whatever you're up for!


Heidi was rescued from imminent death at a California High-Kill shelter. She is very people oriented, and bonds quickly with whomever she is around. She will talk when she wants/doesn't want something done. She is Crate Trained and considered high Energy because she wants to play,play and play some more. She loves water (In fact she snorkels in deeper water).


She is somewhat dog selective, and has a high prey drive so no cats or small critters. Because of her enthusiasm, we would recommend a home with older kids.


She is learning some basic obedience but would benefit from more training with someone who has a loving yet firm demeanor.
