Blinky's Story...
Meet baby Blinky, he spent his first 2 months of life in local shelter. He was tiny, scared and alone. He had also developed an eye irritation and Giardia. The shelter was unable to provide Blinky with the proper attention and care he needed to survive so CRSD took him into the rescue. That is when his healing began, and he started not to only heal, but thrive!
Blinky is an adorable puppy that loves to run, play, eat, nap, and eat a little more! He also loves the beach, car rides, and just hanging out. He is a special dude and absolutely everyone that meets him falls in love! Born July 2013 and just over 4 pounds, he is very sweet, friendly, inquisitive, energetic Blinky plays well with other dogs--especially his foster mom’s two Chihuahuas. He is great with dogs, cats, and children. He is still a baby but is very bright and learns quickly, he is almost potty trained!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blinky, a San Diego Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
