11/15/13 Hello Peps! Sorry I've been off the grid for awhile but I have Great news!!!! See my Dogtor had diagnosed me with Renal Failure sometime ago but turns out I had a terrible Bacterial Infection that made me very ill. Now that the infection is cleared I have been 100% healthy. I can now say I am Negative for Renal Failure/Kidney Disease. But the Dogtor also said that I should have my Kidney levels check twice a year because the Bacterial Infection did caused some damage to my Kidneys. So no more special dog food for this little Firecracker!! So just a little re-cap.....I get along great with other dogs, good with house cats, I love people and children, I love to snuggle and I love going on walks and car rides!! I am ready for my Furever home, so if your looking for a little Firecracker to light up your house take a chance on me....Scabberdabberdoo Peace Out!:)
Update 07/24/13 Hello Peps, Orion here AKA Scabbers, Scabby, Scabs, Scabba-Dabba-Doo....anywho just wanted to let y'all know I have finally been neutered!! I am doing extremely well with Renal Failure and staying on my K/D diet and drinking filtered water, haven't been sick in 2 months.!! I am very happy and healthy and ready for my Furever family! I have loads of energy, love to play with everyone and anything, love walks and especially car rides...if the door is ajar I'll jump in that dang ole car:)!! So please fill out an adoption application and I could be yours Furever!!
Update 06-24-13: Hello Orion AKA Scabbers here!! Just a quick up-date......I've been having a hard time, been really sick lately with a Bacterial Infection! My Doc had put me on some antibiotics and I have been feeling so much better! The bacterial infection has cleared now and I haven't had any more set backs from being neutered. I was scheduled twice already for neutered but no luck.....maybe third times the charm(scheduled for neutered on July 18th)! I'll talk at y'all later after my big day. Peace Out:)
Update 06/05/13: Orion continues to be a sweet dog. He loves to ride in cars and he loves everyone! He's great with adults and children and mostly good with his furry foster siblings. Orion still has some issues sharing, but once he's been neutered, we think that will not be a problem. Unfortunately, Orion is not well. He has been diagnosed to be in Renal Failure with Kidney Disease, although it isn't affecting him terribly right now. He is doing quite well by following a strict KD diet, and only drinking filtered water, but the long-term prognosis is unsure. At this time, Orion is at the vet with a fever that his doctor has determined is unrelated to the Renal Failure. They're doing more blood work to determine the cause. Because of all this, Orion isn't quite available for adoption yet. We're working to get him healthy enough to be neutered, then will make the determination about his availability.
Orion's medical bills are rising, and any help you can give for this sweet young dog would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!
Update 05/05/13: 5/5/13 Hello Peps, Orion here(AKA Scabbers) Reason:when foster mom brought me home she noticed a gigantic scab on my head, no worries it's gone now. I was picked up as a stray and ended up at a shelter. Since being in my foster home I have been getting into trouble, I LOVE trash and trash cans!! I LOVE cars, and will jump into any car if the door is ajar!! I LOVE playing with children and balls(big or small). I love to play and go walking. I have to be fed separately, and it's best that I play alone with toys or else a fight will happen. I'm good with cat's, and I get along well with other dogs but Me, other dogs, toys and food don't mix so great. I do just fine in a crate but I do like sleeping in bed with foster parents and I am house broken! I love attention and like to be the center of attention by my human companions. Would you please consider adopting, and adding me as a long life friend to your family?!!
Initial Bio 04/20/13: Hello my name is Orion! I'm a 13 lbs Yorkie, had all my shots, and will be neutered on May 15th. I have only been in my foster home for a few days now, still getting acquainted. But we can tell you this.....I love car rides, walking, I get along very well with other dogs and cats, and I have already gotten attached and a bit clingy to my foster parents.
