My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rose came to us from the Shelby County Humane Society after her owner turned her in due to her own personal illness.

Rose is 3 years old and is a super-sweet, submissive shepherd. She loves petting and attention. She's learning basic commands and is a very quick learner.

Rose LOVES a squeaky toy - plastic or plush - she runs around squeaking it and brings it to you to show off her prize. Rose likes children and is fine with cats. However she becomes anxious and reacts when around other dogs her size. We are not sure how she is with smaller dogs yet. Rose is a housedog and is well mannered inside (doesn't try to jump on the couch or bed). She is not content being left outside in a fence away from her people for extended periods. She will escape a fence under these circumstances.

This dog is crate trained, spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and HW negative. Adoption application, home visit, and $300 adoption fee are required. Please read our adoption requirements on our home page.
