BRUTUS is a 1-2 year old pit bull mix that was found as a stray. If we ever named a dog incorrectly this is it. He is anything but a brute. He is very goofy and silly and mellow. He is about 55 pounds. He loves attention and feeling like part of the family. In early April, Brutus was diagnosed with Babesia. Thanks to our wonderful foster network and the caring and generous donations made by one of our supporters; Brutus received the top of line vet care. He had an appointment on June 19, 2013 (day 58 post treatment) and everything looks good. If he has a good blood work up on day 90 post treatment the chances of the Bebasia flaring up again are extremely slim!!! BRUTUS is house trained and will do just about anything to avoid the crate. He is free roaming in his foster home all day and night and is never destructive. He frequently stays at a temp foster home while his foster family travels for work. His temp foster home has 3 young children and Brutus adores them. He will let them take his toys out of his mouth and play fetch until you tire of throwing the ball. He does sleep in a crate in his temp foster home while visiting. He will even jump into the trampoline with his temp foster family to join in on the family fun. He is mellow in the house and really just likes the comfort of knowing his family is close by. He would make a great addition to a relaxed family that wants a silly big boy lounging around all day.
