Cassiopeia's Story...
Cassie is a gentle tempered girl with a very sweet personality. She is a 2 year old brown tabby with white markings, has beautiful green eyes, is small for her age and has already had a litter of kittens. She is very shy and will require someone patient and understanding that is willing to work with her on a consistent basis and move at her pace to gain her trust.

Cassie was found on a deck meowing for food. It seemed clear that she wasn’t feral and had been someone’s pet at one time so she was trapped by a Tenth Life volunteer with her litter of kittens and brought inside the Tenth Life family of rescue kitties.

She enjoys playing with toy mice and anything with feathers. Bird watching is one of her favorite hobbies and she is a fantastic moth catcher. She loves fuzzy blankets and super soft beds. While she does spend most of her time following her human around, she also likes to get away from it all and find a quiet place to take a nap.

Cassie would do best in a quiet home with other friendly and playful, non aggressive cats. A home with loud noises or small children would not be ideal for her as she is quite skittish and frightens easily. Cassie is not a lap cat but once she warms up to you she will sit next to you for lots of petting and tummy rubs.

This sweet girl is a treasure and deserves her own special forever home. Is it yours?

Approx. DOB January 2013

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cassiopeia, a St. Louis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
