OREO's Story...
Hi there! My name is Oreo and I am a little, one year old Shih Tzu boy who loves to play!

I have lots of energy and like to play tug and chase. I especially like to chase toys and chew on bones. I love puzzle toys - like a ball filled with treats that I have to roll around on the floor to get the food out of. I am good at this and will play with it for a long time.

I am learning to listen to commands like sit and come, and am very friendly. I am also one who likes to cuddle with my people. My foster mom says that I have endless energy and should have people to play with as much as possible. I like kids, am curious about cats, and get along really well with other dogs.

I am about 90% house trained - I do great as long as you catch my signals and keep me on a schedule.

My dream family would have a couple of older kids to play with or an active lifestyle. I know I would love to go for long walks and run in a fenced yard or dog park.

Won’t you consider giving me a home for the holidays and the rest of my life? My adoption fee is $250.00 and I am worth all that and more as I will give you a lifetime of love and laughter!

Thank you for considering a rescue like me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

OREO, a Beavercreek Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Beavercreek, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Beavercreek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beavercreek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beavercreek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beavercreek paves the way for another one to be saved.
