My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTED 6-2014; unavailable.

Jackson needs your help. He has a pending adoption but we still owe the vet $300 for his veterinary expenses. Plz help is you can; all amounts are so appreciated & help pay off his vet.

This tiny Yorkie male was left outside at his back yard breeder's home with an untreated injured eye for 7 days!!! When we were contacted about him, we immediately stepped-up and paid for his surgery and veterinary expenses. Jack was so thin and undernourished that he almost died. He had to stay at the hospital for a few extra days. Unfortunately, his eye couldn't be saved - it had been too long without proper treatment - so it had to be surgically removed. He's doing great now that he's been in his foster home, getting all he needs. He's at a healthy weight of about 5 lbs. and is a happy, playful, silly pup. He's doing well on his potty training and goes outside instead of on the piddle pad most of the time. He's 12-13 months old, loves to play with his foster K9 friends, and gets along with other small dogs beautifully. He needs a home where someone is there most of time and with another small, young dog to play with and keep him company. This is an active pup, not a couch potato. Puppies do best with another one and it's easier for the humans this way, too. Jack's permanent home needs to be adults only or families with children 12 years and up who have small dog experience and know how to properly treat them. Jackson is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and dewormed. In addition to his eye surgery, he had an ear flush and was treated for ear infections in both ears; he's had 2 vet exams and will have a professional groom soon. He's almost 100% potty trained to go outside. His adoption donation is $300 and includes his lifetime microchip registration. Email us for an adoption application at 1yorkiesrescue@gmail.com. We require a completed adoption app before anyone meets our dogs.

Will you please help with Jackson's expenses? We rely solely on your gifts and adoption donations to pay for everything our rescue dogs need. We're all volunteer; no one ever receives any compensation or pay for the rescue work we do. Our dogs are fed a raw food diet - it's the very best and is the correct diet for dogs.
