LIL' RICKEY's Story...
Hey U – it’s me Lil Rickey. I’m a cute pup don’t you think? I’m a terrier mix – and everyone seems to have their opinion of what breeds I am. I don’t know – but is there a breed called cute? I’m just me! I’m one of those so-called Designer Dogs which makes me a cool dude. I’m black and it is difficult to get good pictures. (We’ll have to see if Uncle Tom can bring his professional camera over here!) I’m still considered a puppy. I’m about 6 months old and weigh 8 lbs.

A few of PPR ladies were doing shelter visits back in September and noticed me – but, weren’t permitted to take me at the time. Then Miss Linda was taking a college student around to the shelters and stumbled upon me and couldn’t believe after 6 weeks that I was still there. Well – I’m not there anymore!

Of course I’m all up-to-date on my shots, neutered, heartworm and fecal tested (all negative) and micro-chipped. I get along with all the other foster dogs here. We do like to play a bit too hard sometimes for the senior dogs and then they get upset. I’m young and like to play – what can I say?

I guess my ideal home would be an active one looking for a pup who likes to chase balls - and that would maybe take me to some puppy training classes. One who I can grow up with! Although there are no young children at my foster home, we feel that I would be fine and would love to chase kiddos around (as long as they’re not too young). Being a young pup – I’m still learning to do some basic commands and at times as a short attention span. That will come with maturity and more training.

I am a sweet boy with a lot of personality which will steal your heart. If you are looking for a nice dog to add to your growing family – I’m your guy.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact my foster home at lsklop@sbcglobal.net If you are local (near Beavercreek, Oh) – it’s possible that a meet and greet can be arranged by appointment. Also, check out our events page on the PPR website …as we’re at Petco stores doing adoption events and they’ll be listed (w/times and locations). We’d love to meet you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LIL' RICKEY, a Beavercreek Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Beavercreek, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Beavercreek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beavercreek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beavercreek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beavercreek paves the way for another one to be saved.
