Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Alfie is a very sweet, friendly and handsome boy! His fur is sooooo soft, you will want to pet him all day and night :) He gets along with other chinchillas, so it would be great if he could have a buddy! Chinchillas are herd animals, and like the company. He looks like a white mosaic, which is pretty rare. This special little guy is ready for his forever home....could it be with you?
Chinchillas require extensive exercise. Their teeth need to be worn down, as they grow continuously and can prevent them from eating if they become overgrown. Pumice stone, chew toys, and birch, willow, apple, manzanita or kiln-dried pine woods are all safe for chinchillas to chew. A high quality, hay-based pellet and a constant supply of loose timothy hay will meet all of their dietary needs. Chinchillas' very sensitive gastrointestinal tracts can be easily disrupted, so a healthy diet is important. Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your companion; chinchillas could live 15 years or more!!
