My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET XYLA....(yes, we needed an X name!) an absolutely adorable, 1.5 yr old, 12 lb, long bodied, gold and white Lhasa Terrier mix, who was passed up at the Lancaster Shelter because she had double cherry eye. Not anymore!! She was also loaded with foxtails and one was embedded under her armpit, so surgery was done to remove it. Now, she is a happy go lucky girl who loves to love you baby!! This girl was loved by someone at some time. Sadly, she ended up abandoned in the shelter likely because they couldn't pay for her surgery. Xyla is a big kisser and cuddler, but she takes a minute to know you, and I literally mean a minute! She can be a little hesitant on the leash, but quickly adapts. She mastered the stairs in two days! She is very smart! Xyla hasn't really figured out toys yet, but she loves to play with you! For the most part, she gives kisses to most of the dogs she meets...but occasionally she will meet one she doesn't like! She seems to be potty trained but no guarantees at your house! Xyla would love to be in a home with another small dog she can bond to. She would love a yard to romp and play in...but she could live in an apartment or condo. She is not a barker, but don't leave her alone for too long or that could change!! This is a fantastic dog who will make a wonderful family member....does your home have any extra room?

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We want to give you the time you deserve, so please help us help you!! We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

Most every Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Century City Mall (10250 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles 90067 behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros) from 12-4pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption....and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.
