Marcus's Story...
**SPECIAL THANKS TO A DBC ANGEL FOR SPONSORING MARCUS WHILE HE IS IN OUR PROGRAM**

Marcus is a young male American Pit Bull Terrier, around 6 months old, weighing 40 pounds. Very little is known about his background. He was found by Detroit Police at a homicide scene. Marcus has done very well with this rehabilitation and training while at DBC. He gets along with other dogs and would have to be tested with cats and young children to see if it is a good fit, since he is still in that puppy phase.

If you would like to meet Marcus, please complete the Pre-Adoption Application at http://www.dbcdogs.org/adoptions.html

Adoption Fee: $250. Includes lifetime of training, microchipping, a crate, current vaccines, rabies certificate, heartworm free.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marcus, a Lapeer American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Lapeer, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Lapeer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lapeer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lapeer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lapeer paves the way for another one to be saved.
