My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi!
My name is Scarlett. I was named after Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With The Wind because I am so pretty.
I am about 1 1/2 years old. I am young. I think I am an American Foxhound, but I am not very big, so I might be mixed with some Beagle. I am a pretty hound dog whatever my breed. I have beautiful markings. I have black and red ticking on me, a black saddle and a gorgeous brown face with doe-like eyes. I weigh around 30-35 lb. I am not very big.
I have to be about the sweetest dog my foster mom has ever seen (and we are talking about hundreds of foster dogs over the years!)
And talk about smart! My foster mom says I am a very smart girl. I lived all of my life outside (I am sure of that) but I was instantly house broke from the moment I came to stay here inside my foster home. I am a bit timid at first, but I warm up very quickly. I am quick to give you a kiss. I am very affectionate.
I get along with all of the other dogs here. They really like me. I would make a good companion for another dog, but I don't have to have one. I do need and want a loving person or family to adopt me and give me all of the love I deserve.
If you are looking for a very sweet girl, whether it be a hound or not, you cannot pass me up. I would be your faithful and loyal companion for the rest of my life. Look no further, you have found your sweet girl!
