Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Major is one of our young adult adoptables, and he has been with us since he was only 4 months old and surrendered to Memphis Animal Shelter with his brother. He has grown into a very cuddly and goofy boy! He is super friendly, and his very favorite thing in the whole world right now is belly rubs. Major is housebroken (no housebreaking headaches here.) Major is also kennel trained, which will help him adjust to a new forever family since he has his very own portable room.
Major's big wish this year is to find a Forever Family who needs cuddles from a silly dog. He is very good at leash walking, and likes showing that off a little. When he is out on his leash walks, Major prefers to meet lady dogs rather than other males, although he will behave with both if introduced properly.
Major recently stepped in when two of the dogs he lived with got into a fight. Major put himself in harms way to try to protect his friend!! The dog that was attacked suffered minor injuries because Major was there! He's a definite hero!
And even though he is a little silly at times, Major is one of the most loyal boys you will ever meet. If you are looking for a loyal, loving companion who will make you smile with his silliness, please email heartsofgoldpitrescue@yahoo.com to meet Major
