My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

location: Hollywood, MD
Hi, my "official" name is Big Boy, but everyone here calls me "Jet"! Don't let my name fool you as I'm certainly not fast or big like a jumbo jet. I am 7 years old, 16 pounds, sweet, loyal, and rather lazy, I must say. I prefer to lounge around and sleep in my bed or even better, your lap, if you let me. I was adopted by my current family 5 years ago through Ratbone Rescues. I will bark, but only if someone knocks at the door, as I just want to let you know that someone's here. I'm potty trained and prefer to be on a potty schedule, as I don't know how to tell you when I need to go. If I can't go out I may have an accident, but I feel awfully ashamed when I do. I also don't like being alone as I get kinda scared and will bark and talk until someone returns. I am crate trained and I tolerate being there but it's not my favorite place. I get along well with my kitty, doggie, and other furry friends; however, I am not the best with little kids and may nip if they get near my bed or my head. I also love to go on walks or even to run free in a field… I am so loyal that I always come back (but only if I know and trust you)! So why are my parents finding me an new home if I'm so good? Well, they would like to find me a "better fit", as they both work full-time and are gone from my home a lot. I would really like to find someone who is mostly home, who does not mind that I will be their shadow, and who I can snuggle with endlessly. More pictures of me can be found here. Please help me find my perfect match!

Note: This is a Guardian Assistance Placement (GAP) Program dog, meaning he/she has been fortunate enough to remain in his/her current home while looking for a new home. Veterinary records have been verified, but we must rely on input from the owner for information on behavior and temperament.
