My story

Cassie Wobblescame from a Texas kill shelter. It was believed that she had been injured, but a thorough exam proved that she had genetically compromised patellas (knees) on both hind legs), as well as one hip with changes brought on by her bad knees. Cassie is around 2-3 years old, and weighs just over 11 pounds. She does well with most dogs, though she can be a bit of a fuss-budget when the other dogs get rowdy; we think this is because of her unsteady balance (related to her knees). Cassie can walk and run, even jump - but she also falls down quite a bit. No worries - she just picks herself up and moves on! She is housebroken and crate trained, too. Cassie has had surgery to fix her right knee (the worst one), and when that's healed the vet will re-evaluate her hip and the other knee, so see if we need to have another surgery.
