Precious's Story...
Precious and her siblings Mitten and Misty were born under a mobile home to a stray mother, Blackie. Luckily for this litter, the owner decided that out in the elements was no place for an adorable family of kittens. Now all four are ready to find a permanent residence with someone like you!

This terrific little tabby has found that hanging out in the underneath is safest, so she might need you to coax her out with your love. Like many kitties who have not yet found the unconditional love of a human, Precious can be timid upon first meeting. However, once she’s in your arms receiving the gentle attention she deserves, she’ll live up her name and so much more!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Precious, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
