My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is April and I am a Bichon/Poodle mix who is a very loving little girl that is only 12lbs. I was a stray that never found my way home but I am ready for my new adventure in life.
I am currently in foster and I just love attention and love to be anywhere you are inside or outside. I will sleep in bed with you to veg on the couch with you and yes you can hold me and snuggle with me. If I had my way I would let you carry me all day long!
I do great with other dogs and cats and have fun with them and I do not play overly aggressive nor with any domination, I just like to play.!!
My foster family said they found out I am fast a zipper when it comes to playing with my ball!! I run to get it jump on the couch and bounce back down waiting for the next toss.
Oh and I really really love kids, my foster nieces and nephews came over and I was like whaaat is taking you so long to get inside!!. I was super happy to see them. I really think I would love a home with kids.
My foster Mom said I have had only maybe 2 mistakes in the house but I am really good at telling her I have to go potty.. I will walk up to the back door and wait for her to let me out and and then come back in for my treat!! I do have a fenced in back yard to run and play which I really like and will need a little work on leash walking.
I do live in a home so barking/whining is not an issue but when you leave me in the crate and leave I do whine,I do not want to be here alone my foster Mommy recorded me and we are working on this. I am crate trained and do like my crate but I want to be in the same room as you. My foster Mom is home with me a good portion of the day so I can get frequent potty breaks too!.
I do not shed but that does not gaurantee I am a Hypo-allergenic dog!
I am fully Vetted/Neutered/Microchipped(Reg to the rescue)/Heartworm Neg
I have an adoption fee of $225 to cover my vetting expenses and to help the next pup get saved down the road.
I will only be adopted within 50 miles of Chicago Illinois
