My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*COURTESY LISTING*
One night, a nice lady found me in the street sniffing a telephone poll. She tried to take me to a shelter but I kept licking her ears, so she decided to take me in and take care of me. She searched for weeks to see if I had another family, but nobody ever wanted me back. My rescuer found me a home and I lived there for 5 months. Sadly, my new family lost their home and had to move in with some friends. I cannot stay with them anymore and need a new family. When I'm with my human family I wag my tail and smile! I love to roll on my back and get my belly scratched with all my feet in the air. I love leaning up against people and being pet all over. The more loving the better! I love to play with other canine friends and my favorite game is chase!!! I love, love, love to run around with other dogs. I lived with kids for 5 months that were 4 and 6. I've met kids of all ages and do not treat them any different than anyone else. I love everybody! I am a big boy and sometimes I do not realize how strong I am so an adult should make sure that the kids know how to tell me to stay down and be a good boy. In case you’re wondering, I am potty trained! I have been living outside for a while though, so I might need some reminding. I was a good boy and learned very quickly not to potty in my last home. People tell me that I’m more adoptable if I know things. Here are the commands that I’ve already learned - I will sit and lay down, and I slow down a little bit if someone thinks I am pulling too hard on the leash, but I want to learn more! I am very smart and I know I can learn anything you are willing to teach me! My foster mom is working with me on my manners, but I am usually calm anyway. My foster mom knows me pretty well and she thinks the perfect family for me would be one that understands my needs. I like to find ways to get out of a yard so I need to be kept indoors. If you want me to be outside then I need to be on a tie-out or supervised in an enclosed area I cannot jump out of. I need to get exercise because I am such a big boy. It is probably better if I am the only dog in the house because I do not like it when other dogs go around my food and toys, but I am best friends with dogs at the park and wherever I go! If I had some training I bet I would be a good boy about my food and toys. The best family for me can make sure that I get exercise, attention, and a safe place I will not escape from. I know that my ideal family will love me enough to take all these things into consideration. All I want for Christmas is a new family. Will you help me? Jackson is looking for an adopter or foster asap. If you can help email Dana at: rampicruz@gmail.com
