Haley's Story...
This kitten belongs to a litter of 4 kittens born inside our Rescue on October 11, 2013 and they have never been outside - we are looking for indoor homes only. The litter consists of 4 females, 3 black and one black and orange tortie. Haley is one of the black kittens.

These kittens have been combo blood tested (testing neg/neg for Felv and FIV; they have been de-wormed and have received their first distemper vaccination. We can offer a low cost spay package with the kittens to help save on the remainder of their first year vet work.

If you are interested in seeing these sweet kittens, please call 704-786-7768 or 704-793-6545 and ask for Reid or Dianne and we'll be happy to set up an appointment.

Thank you for considering giving a home to a rescued kitten!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Haley, a Harrisburg American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Harrisburg, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Harrisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
