Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER OR PERMANENT HOME NEEDED!
Together but Alone…
Kato and Luke are lonely and confused right now. Their “mom” fell and can no longer live with them and care for them. These spoiled and loved dogs are still in their house, alone and missing the rest of their family. Family members are doing everything they can; they visit and walk them four times a day, but Kato and Luke just don’t understand why they are alone. Of course, mom is devastated and knows she must give them up for their own good. She has asked our help to find the very best home for her babies. We want to fill our promise to her and make the New Year a happy one for her and the dogs.
Kato is the father of Luke. He is a Siberian Husky, approximately eight years old, weighs 86 pounds and has unique, handsome markings and a beautiful open mask. Kato is mild mannered and well behaved and loves to have his tummy rubbed. At first, Kato can be a little aloof until he warms up to you and then prefers to be close-by. He loves to sleep on the couch. Typical husky, he is an escape artist and can open doors and climb out windows. He is very alert and always watching and listening to what is going on around him and throughout the house.
Luke is Kato’s son and is a Siberian/Aussie mix, approximately seven years old and is a big boy tipping the scales at 100+. He is very affectionate with people and loves attention. Luke likes to be comfortable and will sleep with you or sack out on the couch. He loves to go for walks and be outside in cooler weather. Luke had a bad experience when another dog attacked him and he can be particular with other dogs.
Kato and Luke have a strong bond between them and love to play. They wrestle and play and chase each other for long periods of time. (NOTE: two dogs are easier than one when they entertain each other) They love car rides. Neither is a good watch dog – they are friendly with everyone and anyone can walk in the house to a tail wagging greeting. They are currently living with four cats, but may chase any new cats they encountered.
Kato and Luke need each other and should be adopted as a pair. They also need a family to love. If you have room in your hearts for these two sweethearts or wish to foster them for us, please let us know. We would love to start out the New Year with a Happy Tail.
