Hi! I’m Theo but some of my best friends call me Bubba because I’m so goofy! I love playing with my ball, eating peanut butter out of my Kong, getting my tummy rubbed, going for walks and car rides. If you have a couch, good luck trying to keep me off of it. I’ll squeeze my big body into little spots just to get close to you. I’m a big boy now, but don’t my size fool you. I like to consider myself a lapdog. If I can’t sit with you, I’ll just lean in. I might not the best dog to share your bed with since after I squeeze in, I slowly spread out, but we can always make it work!
I have never found a four legged friend I didn’t like. From guinea pigs, to cats to all other dogs, I get along well with everyone. I grew up with kids but I can get a little bossy with their friends so I would be best in a home that only included adults. Sometimes I get nervous and I don’t always know how to show it so I need a home that has experience with big dogs so you can recognize when I need a hug to make me feel better before I get too upset.
I have very good manners. I know that people come first in doorways and on the stairs. I will never run out of the door when you open it. I am especially good with a Halti brand gentle leader, but will walk on a standard leash as well. There is no counter surfing, trash picking or chewing of your favorite things with me around. You could have a picnic on the floor and I won’t take a bite unless you tell me to take it. I won’t even steal the cats’ food. Although I rarely beg, I have a really hard time not pulling out the puppy eyes for a pizza crust.
I love camping and going for hikes in the summer and playing in the snow in the winter. I am not a fan of the rain because I’d rather hang out inside where it is nice and dry. I’ll get up early if you want, but I also enjoy sleeping in on those relaxing days off. I’ve stayed in tents, hotels and my own home. I am happy being wherever my family is. I can also be independent. I have not been crated since I was a pup so you can trust me to hold down the fort while you are away.
I’m looking for my forever home so we can settle in together. I’ll even let you call me Bubba.
Theo needs a home without children. He is good with cats and dogs.
