Joe Cocker is Adopted
Joe Cocker is currently being fostered in Painesville Ohio, and his adoption fee (tax deductible donation) is $250
Joe Cocker is an approximately 2-3 yr old male cocker spaniel.
He came into our rescue from a shelter in the south, and was transported to Ohio with a group of dogs coming into our rescue.
Unfortunately when Joe was seen by the vet here, he was heartworm positive, and had to undergo heartworm treatment.
He is all done with his treatment now, and other than being on crate rest for a little while longer, he is ready for adoption.
Joe is a very smart, playful cocker boy, he does well with the other dogs in his foster home, however toys and balls need to be limited to when he is in his crate.
He will become very territorial with his ball and toys, but only twoards other dogs when they are around, not to his human companions.
He has never showed any territorial behaviors with people.
Joe is a loveable, affectionate dog, he is eager to please, and give love.
We think he would prefer to be an only dog, however can be in a home with other dogs if the owners keep the toys up, that is his only issue.
His foster says he is a great dog, and he is currently fostered with 2 other male cockers, and is doing fine.
Joe is housetrained, sleeps in a crate, and is well behaved.
He is also good with older children, which we have seen and experienced, however he has not been exposed to young toddlers, so we can not report on his compatibility with kids.
Joe Cocker is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and is finished with his heartworm treatment.

Pet needs to be picked up at foster home.
In some cases we may be able to assist with transport.
We would love to have more foster volunteers so we can rescue and rehome more cocker spaniels.
