This girl is just a sweetheart This is MOXIE a gorgeous Lab/Collie mix. Moxie is just over a year old, and has the most wonderful temperament and beautiful features. Moxie is blessed with stunning good looks, gorgeous white teeth, a lovely shiny black and white coat her eyes are soulful amber that just melt your heart.
MOXIE`S story )))) Where to begin with this one, Moxie appeared as a last chance girl set to be PTS just like so many others, Moxie was in a North Florida rural shelter that hardly has any exposure or adopters.We see so many dogs that need help but every once in a while you just get one that hits you a little more than others, Moxie was one of those girls, She was scared, timid, underweight but still had her gorgeous smile, her eyes told a different story she was hopeful.We do not know Moxies past, whatever it was we cannot change it. What we can change is her future. Moxie came into Lifeline back in June and immediately went into her foster home in North Florida our itinerary for Moxie was to have her settled and have her gain weight, Moxie was a delight, she ran and played with others and was so affectionate almost needy.We struggled to put weight on her, She was wormed she was eating. With no weight gain we took her to the vets the visit revealed that she had full term pups inside her, Moxie underwent emergency surgery sadly none of the pups could be saved. Moxie was released after a few days and went home to rehab. Moxie spent 4 months in rehab. With our teams loving care and interaction Today Moxie is a super happy girl always trying to please. She fits in well with other dogs and is very playful. She has a lot of energy she loves to run and play, We are now searching for a wonderful forever home for her. A home that will give her stability and security she needs Moxie has just blossomed in the time she has been with us she is certainly a favorite. This girl is so lovable she deserves a family that will give her the love and attention she needs. Moxie will warm to you and just melt your heart. She loves to be around humans and will follow you around, she loves to go for walks, and walks well on a leash. She knows commands sit, and we are working on others, She is still a pup so a little patience may be needed she is energetic, fun and playful. she loves car rides and she is excellent in the car. Moxie is house and crate trained at the moment she is in a routine with her foster and is taken out regularly, She is intelligent and smart and will easily pick up your routine. Moxie is energetic so a family that does not work long hours would be perfect crating for long hours would not work for this girl. At night time she will sleep on a sofa, bed or crate with the door open. however she just loves to sleep on your bed she loves to be close to her humans a typical Velcro girl. its so hard not to fall in love with this girl And its very difficult to find anything negative to say about her apart from the fact she is a needy girl and will paw you for attention. We are unable to comment on cats she has not been around them with us, but I feel with the right introduction and supervision it would be a workable situation. Moxie is still very much a puppy so she will still need a firm but gentle hand and discipline. Moxie loves children and adults, She is spayed, current on all vaccinations and she is micro.chipped. she is happiest being in a family environment and enjoying freedom to run outdoors and relax with you in the home. We are looking to find Moxie a wonderful forever home where she can have stability and security in her life. We are looking for a forever home that can cherish her and give her the love and attention she needs, A family that is really stable and can give her that forever home that means forever. We dont ever want to find this girl back in a shelter. Moxie is so lovable, and she is good with children. A family that will include her in their lifestyle and activities would be perfect Moxie will only get better with the right interaction. Someone that is at home most of the day would be perfect for Moxie She dosent like to be apart from you for hours on end. A home with a fenced in yard or acreage where she can run and play is essential. She would do well with another dog as a companion, or just as happy being an only dog with lots of family interaction. Could you be the one to open up your heart and home, and make Moxies`s life complete again if so you will be rewarded with a wonderful , loyal faithful friend that will bring you endless hours of pleasure.
