Rescue FAQs

HCW is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping reduce the pet population of West Michigan by spaying/neutering and educating on spaying and neutering.
Heaven Can Wait Animal Haven promotes the spay and neuter of all our animals to reduce the dizzying overpopulation predicament that West Michigan faces each day. Instead of allowing endless litters to be born, we wish to find forever homes for the animals in our care and to continue to help others spay and neuter their pets. Our mission is to reduce the amount of unwanted pets who end up in local shelters or on the streets. By spaying or neutering your pet you are doing your part. The amount of animals who end up in local shelters is overwhelming. Many of those never make it to a forever home as there are just too many looking for homes.

Additional adoption info

All of our felines live in foster homes. All of our animals are vaccinated, spayed and neutered, and microchipped before they are deemed ready to be adopted. Pricing Varies per Animal.

Please note Heaven Can Wait does NOT declaw our animals. We do however, pull many from local shelters that have already had this procedure as they are just as deserving of finding furever homes as all of the other kitties.

We are honored by donations and need them to survive as a rescue who promotes spay and neuter. We are always in need of monetary donations. Please e-mail or call us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
