Rescue FAQs

We are concerned citizens, trying to make a difference in our community, and hoping to inspire other caring people to do the same. We started rescuing rabbits in July 2011, to prevent them from being abandoned in parks or targeted as free food for snakes. In September 2011 we started a blog to post our bunnies for adoption, as well as basic info for new bunny owners. We strive to keep improving with every rabbit we meet, and with every new experience. We started rescuing bunnies in need, and the byproducts is that THEY RESCUED US!. We only rescue and provide direct care for rabbits, but we also help dogs, cats, and any kinds of pets by posting them for adoption. This only includes rehoming of existing pets, and babies born from accidental pregnancies. We require that all pets are neutered/spayed before adoption, or the new owner is willing to have it done before pick up. NOTE: We do not support puppy mills or any pet breeders, and we do not post any pet that eats other pets (e.g. snakes).

Additional adoption info

A non-refundable adoption fee applies to protect the rabbits being adopted, and to cover food and vet costs for running the rescue. A contract is discussed and signed. Adoption applicants must prove they have the knowledge and resources for long term proper care. We support new rabbit owners and all all who adopt from us, through the adjustment stage, and whatever issues they encounter. We help the matching and bonding process with existing rabbits, and give "bunny replacement guarantee" if the rabbit does not fit in the new home.
