Southwest Florida House Rabbit Rescue's Adoption Process

We will ask you to fill out an adoption application and have an initial phone interview. We will set up a time to meet some rabbits that might be a good fit for you. We work with you to find the perfect match for your family, home and lifestyle. We do ask for photos of the space where the rabbit will reside in the home and ask for a short home site visit where one of our volunteers will do a Bunny 101 education course with you. This sets you up for success with your new rabbit friend! Rabbits are not a low maintenance pet and require a 10-14 commitment. They are quiet, fun and very loving when given the proper environment. They make great companions! You'll notice most of our rabbits are adopted as bonded paris. Rabbits are highly social and need companionship to keep them healthy and from getting lonely. We as humans companions, can only offer them so much. We find having two rabbits is not any more work than one and they are tons of fun to watch together as well! $80 single or $130 Pair

About Southwest Florida House Rabbit Rescue

Our rescue is dedicated to saving the lives of domestic rabbits. We offer outstanding educational resources on rabbits, serve to advocate on their behalf, and do outstanding adoptions. We work with our local animal services, community members and rescue partners to rescue rabbits from abuse, neglect, hoarding and abandonment. We strive to elevate the status of domestic rabbits to that of cats and dogs in our society. They deserve respect and love. Our adoption fee is $80 for a single or $130 for a bonded pair. All our rabbits are spayed/neutered and litter box trained. We have many bonded pairs because there are tremendous benefits to you and the rabbits to be hoppy and healthy.
