Sullivan County locations outside the city limits of Kingsport and Bristol. Portions of Bluff City and Johnson City are included in the county area.

Animal Shelter of Sullivan County's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

You can email or call for an application, or fill one out on site

2. Approve Application

Applications are approved the same day they are submited in most cases.

3. Meet the Pet

Meet the pet in the play yard or meet and greet room. If adopting a dog and other dogs live in the home we will

All animals must be spayed/ neutered before they go home. In most cases this is done before the animal is on the adoption floor.

Our mission is “to provide a clean and safe shelter for animals that have been abandoned or surrendered, ultimately placing adoptable animals in loving homes or with caring rescues while increasing community awareness of the humane treatment of animals through education, spay-neuter programs, vaccination clinics, and recruit volunteers to promote this mission”.
