Shelter FAQs

Almost Home is an all volunteer staffed facility that is dedicated to the love, care and placement of dogs that are placed in our care. We are a Non-profit 501 C3.
Almost Home has been in operation since April 2017. Most of our volunteer work 40 hours a week, and then spend multiple days helping out at the shelter in a number of ways. The dedication of our volunteers has allowed us to save over 150 dogs in just 10 short months.

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption application to learn more about our potential adopter. Following an approved application, we speak with the potential adopter to ask any questions we have and to answer any questions they may have. We typically have a 24 hour hold on adoptions so that adopters are sure this is the dog they want. To finalize the adoption we have an adoption agreement the adopter signs, and a standard $50 adoption fee (adoption fee may increase slightly depending previous medical fees encountered by the shelter).
