Shelter FAQs

Our Mission… Creating positive change for the animals in our community through compassionate care and outreach. Our Vision… A safe, happy community for all people and animals. The key to any successful organization or venture is a strong leadership backbone. And that is no exception here at the Fredericksburg SPCA. We wouldn't be able to change so many lives, human and animal alike, without the dedication of the following individuals.
Fredericksburg Spotsylvania Caroline Louisa Stafford King George

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is easy! No home visits, no reference checks. We have many dogs and cats available for adoption.
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip & registration, basic vaccines, rabies vaccine (4 months and older), age-appropriate blood testing (6 months and older), flea/tick/heartworm treatments, and deworming.
As a non-profit organization, our adoption fees help us to offset some of these costs.

Note - you must be 18 years or older to adopt.
