Rescue FAQs
Pawsitive Karma was founded in 2018 by Ashley Weiss after many years of being a dedicated animal welfare advocate, specifically that of Pit Bull, and Bully Breed type dogs. Through her work as a rescue advocate, educator, and foster, she was faced with the realization that the bully breeds in general are still completely misunderstood, and are still being subjected to unimaginable abuse and neglect every day.
It is the goal and mission of Pawsitive Karma to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering, to reduce the overpopulation of animals. Encourage the need for microchipping to ensure dogs can be returned to their rightful owner should they become lost or stolen. To educate the public, adopters, and fosters on the requirements of the bully breeds, such as, proper training and socialization, nutrition and medical needs, and level of care required to ensure a long, happy, healthy life of the dog.
Any dog adopted from Pawsitive Karma will be fully vetted, with all age appropriate vaccines, current on all preventatives, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.

- Approve Application
- Meet the PetAfter your application is approved, we will set up a meet and greet with the animal!
- Pay Fee
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Take the Pet HomeWe allow a 7 calendar day trial adoption, during this time, if it is not working out, we will take the pet back and refund your fee.

Our adoption process starts with an initial application that can be filled in online at the following link:

We then do a phone conversation/interview.
Then we set up a meet and greet to approved applicants.
If all goes well, we set up the trial adoption, lasting 7 calendar days.
Our fees range from $100-$400 dollars, and are non-refundable AFTER the initial trial adoption period of 7 days.
We stay in contact with adopters to provide post adoption counseling and support.
