Rescue FAQs

BFCACT was established in January, 2003 and is a national rescue. We were founded by our AKC parent club (The Bichon Frise Club of America).  The Trust has five trustees who are responsible for managing the trust. Part of our mission is to educate the public, promote responsible breeding and ownership of the Bichon Frise.  We encourage puppy buyers to go to responsible breeders that perform health testing on dogs and who stand by the puppies they produce and are willing to take back and/or be involved if it becomes necessary to re-home a dog.  We educate the public with regard to the problems associated with purchasing  puppies from pet stores, backyard breeders and direct from puppymills. BFCACT is managed by Lynn Ramich and Zandra Kern who are Co-Chairs.
