Rescue FAQs

Misspits Rescue is a foster based rescue aimed at changing the lives of pit bull type dogs. We campaign for dogs that may be overlooked, unwanted, neglected, abused or even killed simply for the way they look. We promote responsible ownership through positive training, community outreach, spay and neutering and education. Pets should be a privilege, a part of the family and treated as such. We, like many others, are here to show the world, the true pit bull. Misspits Rescue takes in dogs from various sources (all breeds) including local shelters, and owner surrenders. All dogs are current on shots, spayed/neutered, microchipped and treated for parasites prior to adoption. Dogs live in a foster home first so we are able to provide insight into their behavior, training, likes and dislikes so we can try to make the best match. We are a non profit rescue and all adoption fees go back to supporting and helping more dogs. Thank you for considering a rescue!
