Final Frontier Rescue Project's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

Please complete the adoption application: https://tinyurl.com/ffrp-adoptions

2. Interview

After you complete the adoption application we will reach out to schedule a time to chat. We will also call your references.

3. Home Check

We'll do a virtual home check at a mutually agreeable time to ensure you and your new family member are set up for success!

4. Meet the Pet

We'll make sure it's a good fit, and if it's not we will suggest other available dogs.

5. Approve Application

6. Sign Adoption Contract

7. Pay Fee

Many of our rescued dogs have a history of behavior issues and were in danger of being killed for behavior in a pound or shelter. We take the time to evaluate and provide any needed training before adopting out our dogs, and we're looking for safe, loving homes.

About Final Frontier Rescue Project

Our group of volunteers and advocates save rehabilitatable and manageable dogs in danger of being killed at Austin, TX area shelters. By saving the "Final Frontier Dogs"--the 1-2% still being killed--we can help develop best practices for the nation's shelters.
