About Pups on the Plains Rescue Team

We are a student-led and run organization based in Auburn, AL. We are not affiliated with the University directly.

Our mission is to pull dogs from "death row", high-kill shelters in the surrounding area where dogs often do not last more than a week, and bring them into our foster homes. We teach these pups how to become loving, well-adjusted house dogs in preparation for their new homes.

Come Meet Pups on the Plains Rescue Team's Pets

Although we are based in Auburn, AL, we do not have a facility. All of our dogs live in foster homes in the Auburn-Opelika area, thus all of our schedules are different.

If you are interested in meeting a dog, first submit an adoption application, then send us an email asking when the best time is to meet your potential new best friend!
