Rescue FAQs
We are a registered 501(c)(3) non- profit, charitable organization. Our mission is to rescue dogs from overcrowded and high kill shelters, and place them in loving homes. We also strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, and the importance of spay/neuter, so that one day there will no longer be adoptable dogs, euthanized by the thousands in our shelters. We are an all volunteer organization. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the dogs.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Fill out adoption application at www.takemehomedogrescue.org
- Interview
- We will email you questions if we have any. Then a member of the team will call you to discuss the dog you are interested in.
- Meet the Pet
- We will schedule a meeting between you and the foster to meet the dog you are interested in adopting.
- Home Check
- A home check will be done. We will be looking for any safety issues. If found there are any they will need to be fixed prior to adoption.

We adopt our dogs to the best fit for the dog and the family, not on a first come first served basis.
