Rescue FAQs
Animal Advocates of Wexford is a recognized non profit by the Federal Government. We recognize the need for assistance in TNR in our community so we do trap/neuter/release, provide assistance to those who cannot afford veterinary visits, provide food assistance, foster strays and or owner surrenders and rehome or assist to rehome. We educate the community and provide advice when needed. We have been active in the community since 2013 and have saved hundreds of lives.

Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- You may view adoptable pets on our web page, newspaper then you may contact our organization.
- Interview
- Request to visit pet and talk about situation at home other pets, do you rent or own, etc.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Once the interviewee has satisfied the interviewer the contract can be signed.
- Pay Fee
- There is a fee and a follow up within 10 days of the adoption.
Additional adoption info
Follow up is absolutely necessary to see if the pet and the owner are both acclimating to the change in the new environment. The owner is free to return the animal to us if the fit is not satisfactory.
