Rescue FAQs

Timber's Legacy is an all volunteer 501c3 based in Glendale, Queens NY that is trying to help decrease the number of homeless cats and the euthanasia rate in our nation through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming. As members in excellent standing with NYC's Animal Care and Control's New Hope Program, many of our cats come from their "At Risk" list. We also rescue friendly strays and sometimes owner surrenders. About 25% of our cats are special needs. All of our cats receive the very best of veterinary care.
Queens County. The areas are Glendale, Ridgewood, Maspeth, Middle Village, Elmhurst, Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Woodside.

Additional adoption info

After an application is submitted, the applicant is run through the NYS Animal Abuse Registry, references including vet are checked and a home visit is required. There is also an adoption fee.
