The Gratiot County Animal Shelter is managed by only 2 Animal Control Officers and an Animal Shelter Officer.
Gratiot County Animal Control believes that ever paw counts. We protect and serve humans and animals together.
Animal Control and the shelter is funded through Gratiot County, grants, and donations. Each dollar is worth a magnitude of worth to the animals and our community as we strive to find a home and protect Gratiot County.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
  2. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Gratiot County Does not warranty the health or temperament of the animal.
  3. Pay Fee
    1. $5 for cats, $20 dogs + $50 spay/neuter deposit.
  4. Take the Pet Home
    1. After you take home your pet, you will need to get it spay/neutered before the designated date on your contract.
