Rise and Shine Pit Bull Rescue is a volunteer operated, 501c3 non-profit, dedicated to elevating the lives of Pit bull dogs in central NC through rescue, advocacy and kindness cooperative efforts.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- To begin, please complete our adoption application. A volunteer will review your information and contact you within a few days.
- Meet the Pet
- This is the fun part! During your meet-n-greet, you will have an chance to ask questions and spend quality time getting to know each other.
- Interview
- Next steps include a brief interview and home visit to ensure we are making the best match for each dog and family.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Lastly, we will review and have you sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee of $180.
Additional adoption info
We ask prospective families to carefully consider the requirements and commitments of adopting a dog before you begin the adoption process. Dogs are family and need a lifetime of love.
The following requirements will need to be met in order to move forward with adopting from Rise and Shine Pit Bull Rescue:
• At this time we are adopting to adopters who live within an 1.5 hour radius of Lillington, NC
• We expect all of our dogs to be inside dogs – in a home environment
• No HOA or rental restrictions
• We will conduct a home visit and contact references
• Be able to provide any necessary training and vet care when necessary
• Understand the need for decompression and proper introductions with other animals
• Lots and lots of LOVE
