The process starts by submitting your application! Please submit an application before inquiring about meeting an animal.

Approve Application
We will contact your references and determine if the application will be approved. If it is, we will contact you.

Meet the Pet
Once your application is approved, we will set up a time for you to meet the pet(s) you are interested in and take one home!
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
Our adoption contract & payment of the adoption fee is completely virtual! You will receive a text message link to complete the process.
5.
Pay Fee
Our standard adoption fee is $60 and includes spay/neuter, initial vaccinations, microchipping and deworming.

Murphy's Kittens is named after a rescue cat from Orlando, Florida, named Murphy. When he was found, he had every health problem under the sun, including a partially self-amputated tail. Despite everything he went through, he is the sweetest, most snuggly little man with his rescuers (aka his new forever family). The real story began when Murphy was introduced to a litter of abandoned kittens. He loved them more than their own mother. He taught them to groom, play, and be social with people. Inspired by Murphy, we decided to put his talents to work and start Murphy's Kittens, Inc: a non-profit stray cat sanctuary and adoption program.
Our mission is to take all the stray cats and kittens off the streets of St. Johns County, Florida, provide them with proper veterinary care, and adopt them out to loving, forever homes.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
