About NoCoKitties

Our Mission: Every kitty we save...comes with his or her own story. We aim to give each and every one a happy ending with a loving, safe, forever home.

What We Do:
Trap-Neuter-Return: One of our primary goals is to end domestic and feral feline overpopulation and suffering through trap-neuter-return in our local communities and neighborhoods.

Cat & Kitten Socialization: We socialize cats and kittens who are tame-able to become adoptable. Most of the kitties we've rescued from abandonment, hoarding, and feral communities have successfully been socialized.

Low Cost Spay-Neuter Clinics: Available to our local community members.

Foster Program & Volunteers:We recruit loving foster home volunteers & coordinate foster home placement for our adoptable cats & kittens waiting for forever homes.

Barn Cat Rehoming: We offer integration strategies and placement for feral, unadoptable cats needing a safe barn home and maintain a rigorous approval process, including a site visit and support.

Kitty Adoption Program: We showcase adoptable cats & kittens on our website and social media accounts. Follow us for the latest updates!

Community Education & Support: We offer education and resources to Colorado residents to solve common pet issues and assist our community through all of the above services.

Local Shelter Support: In the future, we intend to help local shelters rehome their working cats into approved barn homes.

4 Ways You Can Help:

Angela Nicholson, Founder of NocoKitties, is devoted to time with her kids, grandkids, nephews and nieces.......and a passionate advocate for animal welfare, specifically the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) of cats to reduce overpopulation and to keep more animals out of shelters.

When she’s not spending time with her 3 grandchildren, Angela loves to trap feral kitties in Denver, Greeley, and wherever colonies need the intervention of TNR.

She began this adventure in 2011 when she was feeding feral colonies around her home and learned about TNR to reduce the number of kittens being born year after year. Since beginning those TNR efforts, Angela has trapped and altered hundreds of cats and kittens and placed many of them into rescues or shelters where they were adopted out to forever homes.

Under Angela's leadership, NocoKitties will continue its efforts to reduce cat overpopulation by working through an expanded network of partners and volunteers to trap more colonies in the northern Colorado area in order to SAVE MORE LIVES!

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Loveland, CO.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
